5 Best Stocks To Watch Right Now

LONDON (CNNMoney) The 'Made in America' revival is gaining momentum with a majority of manufacturing executives now ready to consider pulling some production back from China.

A new survey published Tuesday showed a big jump in recent months in the number of companies considering "re-shoring" production from China, once favored for its low costs.

Boston Consulting Group said its survey found most large U.S. companies now plan to move some production to America from China, or are "actively considering" the move.

The number of firms that have shifted manufacturing to the U.S. from China, or will do so in the next two years, has nearly doubled over the past 18 months.

The survey found the three main drivers of the trend are labor costs, product quality and a desire to be closer to customers.

One under-$10 clinical stage biotechnology player that's starting to move within range of triggering a major breakout trade is Idera Pharmaceuticals (IDRA), which is engaged in the discovery and development of novel synthetic DNA- and RNA-based drug candidates. This stock has been on fire so far in 2013, with shares up huge by 221%.

If you take a look at the chart for Idera Pharmaceuticals, you'll notice that this stock has been uptrending strong for the last month, with shares soaring higher from its low of $1.55 to its intraday high of $3.10 a share. During that uptrend, shares of IDRA have been consistently making higher lows and higher highs, which is bullish technical price action. That move has now pushed share of IDRA within range of triggering a major breakout trade. In fact, shares of IDRA are ripping higher today by over 10% with strong upside volume as the stock moves close to entering breakout territory.

Traders should now look for long-biased trades in IDRA if it manages to break out above its 52-week high at $3.12 a share with high volume. Look for a sustained move or close above that level with volume that hits near or above its three-month average volume of 1.45 million shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then IDRA will set up to enter new 52-week-high territory, which is bullish technical price action. Some possible upside targets off that breakout are $4 to $4.50 a share.

Traders can look to buy IDRA off any weakness to anticipate that breakout and simply use a stop that sits right below $2.50 a share, or near its 50-day at $2.22 a share. One can also buy IDRA off strength once it starts to take out $3.12 a share with volume and then simply use a stop that sits a comfortable percentage from your entry point.

It does not matter if it a penny stock, all that matters is whether or not my reasoning is correct. However, in June the Global Depositary Shares (GDS) will undergo a 60:1 reverse split (pending shareholder approval) and the stock will no longer be a penny stock. Unfortunately the reverse split will occur after the June 12, 2014 record date for determining the persons and/or entities liable to the Depositary for the annual fee of $0.02 per Global Depositary shares for depositary services. This is an enormous fee for GDS shares, but one that I will pay due to the extreme undervaluation. Just remember that if you purchase the GDS shares on or before June 12th you are effectively paying an extra $0.02 per share.

Will 2013 Challenges Be This year upside?

JAKKS hasn had the best of luck when it comes to product launches and financial earnings in the past, and the current anaemic economic situation has put yet another strain on consumer spending in the U.S. and Europe. But 2014 might be the growth year this toy manufacturer has been waiting for. After 2012 row of acquisitions, including Maui Inc. (July 2012), JKID Ltd. (September 2012), a joint venture with NantWorks LLC to develop technologically orientated toys, and a 50% joint venture with the Japanese animation production firm, Pacific Animation Partners, has helped the firm gain significant brand strength, which should help boost top and bottom line growth. The most recent expansion of the Daniel Tiger Neighborhood franchise, which has been very successful since its holiday season launch and will now be available at Target Corp.
